Robinson to Heppner. o Soroptimists Plan Card Party To Finance Hallowe'en Hayride Committees were appointed at the Thursday luncheon meeting of the Soroptimist club at O'Don nell's, for the card party given to finance the Hallowe'en hayride given for teenagers every year. Tiupts will be on sale from every member of the club and the date set for the party is Monday October 27. It is to be held in the Episcopal parish house. The Heppner club has been in vited to a party by The Dalles club on Thursday October 23. Several from here are planning on attending. Mrs. M. R. Wightman intro duced the speaker Mrs. W. A. Ruggles. She spoke on fire pre vention and safety. Guests were Mrs. Robert Gra bill and J. O. Turner, who spoke briefly on safety and bicycle rules for the city. Jaycees-Jaycee-Ettes Have Blood Typed The Jayeees and Jaycettes had their monthly pot luck and busi ness meeting Wednesday Oct. 15 at the Civic Center. After the dinner the group went to Pioneer Memorial hospital where they all had their blood typed. Including those whose type is already on file this made 40 members from this organization to have blood typed. The Ameri can Wlon and auxiliary ' are going to be invited to enter this project. Plans were discussed for the rummage sale ttj be held Friday and Saturday Nov. 7-8. Due to Mrs. Wrights ab sence the meeting of the Metho dist women scheduled for October 27th at the Wright home has been cancelled.
