the purposes of this section, the
Council is authorized to issue ana
sell at public sale, general obli
gation bonds of the City in the
aggregate sum of Three Hundred
Thousand Dollars ($300,000.00).
The said bonds shall be in such
form and shall bear such issue
and maturity dates as the Coun
cil shall determine, but all of said
bonds shall mature within
twenty-five (25) years from Issue
date. Should the Council so elect,
it mav issue the said bonds with
the privilege reserved therein, of
redeeming part or all of the bonds
at par value and accrued interest,
unon optional dates to be desig
nated in the bonds. The said
bonds shall be sold for not less
than ninety-eight (98) per cent
of the par value thereof and the
full amount of accrued interest
thereon.
(r) The debt limitations con
tained in the charter shall not ap
ply to any of the bonds hereby
authorized.
(d) The Council hereby is auth
orized and empowered to fix and
determine rates and to collect
charges for the use of said sewer
svstem and facilities, and to
pledge all or any part of the net
revenues thereof, to the payment
of the interest on, and to the re
tirement of the principal of, the
bonds hereinabove autnorizea.
