The Court ordered that Justice of the Peace Districts Three and Four (Lexington and lone) be and the same are abolished and lhat the territorial limits thereof be and the same are hereby made a part of the presently existing Justice of the Peace District Six. The Court Ordered that Dance Hall License be issued to Ameri can Legion Post No. 95 at lone, Oregon. The Court ordered the following Bangs' Disease Control Claims be paid: Harold L. Rash, $8.00; Otto liuhl, $36.81; Guy Ralph Beamer, $24.00. The Court ordered that Dance Hall License be issued to Morrow County Fair Board at Heppner Orecon. West Columbia River Highway The Dalles the music students, of St. Joseph's academy. Also on. the program was the all girls string ensemble from St. Mary's academy at Bak er, Oregon. Mr .and Mrs. Helser and family who are employed on the high way construction erew are living in the Mervin Leonard apartment. Mr. and Mrs. Keithley and Mary Keithley were dinner guests at the W. H. Padberg home Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Louis Wetzel and family were Pendleton visitors Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Livingston of Spray, a sister of O. G. Breeding spent Saturday in Lexington at the Breeding home and Sunday they visited in Stanf ield at the Bert and Carl Breeding homes. The members of the Lexington Christian church choir are prac ticing on an Easter Cantata to be given April 11th on Friday at the Christian church. Those in the program are Mrs. Karl Miller, Phyliss Nolan, Mrs. T. E. Messen ger Sr., Mrs. Don Campbell, altos; Mrs. Gene Majeske, Mrs. Trina Parker, Janet Kendall, and Mrs. C. C. Jones, Patty McMillan and Shirley Hunt, sopranos, Nolan, Mr. Kendall and Bob Hagerud, with the director Mrs. Betty Hage rud. The dance at the Lexington grange hall for the benefit of the Lexington school band was well attended. Supper was served later In the basement. The Lexington Grange is hav ing a party Saturday for its mem bers and friends. Earl Miller spent the weekend at Cecil Jones, from his work at Nolans. Mr. and Mrs. Bill B. Marquardt are the proud parents of a 10 lb. son born Tuesday morning in the Pioneer Memorial hospital. The Ne-top-pew Campfire girls held their regular meeting Mon day afternoon at the home of their leader Mrs. C. C. Jones. Place cards were made for the Mother and Father banquet and invita tions were written. The banquet will be April 10 in the I. O. O. F. dining room. At this time there will be a short program. The Horizon "Club Birls also held their meeting at the same time. They welcomed a new girl Janet Kendall recently amved from Ontario. They also worked on things for the banquet. .Wednesday after the O DA-KO group met at the home of their guardian Mrs. C. C. Jones. They worked on their notebooks, and welcomed a new member, Patsy McDonald. They are also plan ning their part of the program at the Mother-Father banquet. Mr. and Mrs. A. F. Majeske are planning a trip to Portland ov'er the weekend when their daugh ter Patricia will receive her cap. Pat is in nurses training at Good Samaritan hospital in Portland. Mr. and Mrs. New't O'Harra were Pendleton visitors one day last week. The Busy Dozen met at the Kenneth Nelson home last week. Refreshments were served later in the afternoon. Guset at the Fannie McMillan home over the weekend was a brother, Mr. and Mrs. H. R. Hecht ner of Walla Walla.
