Harry Owen and son of Prine ville enjoyed fishing at the Dell Neal place on Sunday. Mrs. Archie Gienger of Cotton wood, was in town Sunday. Her mother, Mrs. Mary Maclntyre of Hamilton has been quite ill. She was taken to the hospital in Prai rie City last Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Neal and Mrs. Leathers drove to Heppner on Thursday. Mrs. Neal had some dental work done and Mrs. Lea thers received medical aid. Mr. and Mrs. Kenny Round and children spent last Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis mai and children. Ed LeTrace of Heppner was fishing at the Dell Neal place on Thursday. Arthur Crowley of the H. M. Hanson Ranch spent several days last week in Monument and at Fossil. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Rounds drove to John Day Thursday. Mrs. Round's mother, Mrs. Alta Wright of John Day accompanied them home. Mrs. Wright plans to spend some time in Monument. The card party sponsored by the Grange and the Juvenile Grange last Friday night was quite a suc cess both as an entertainment and a means of raising money. Refreshments of cake and coffee were served by the ladies of the grange. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Cox of the Gilmore Ranch were shopping In town on Saturday. Mr. and MS. Charles Reno of Hardman spent the weekend with their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Lesley. ComDton Moffit and Merle fTrpen of Hines. were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. George Stirritt. The men enjoyed fishing while here. Last week Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Rattv took their son. Clinton and Mr. and Mrs. Roy Arlot Cork to Bend. Both Clinton and Koy Ar lot were returning to their bases with the armed forces after spending a fifteen day furlough at home. Mr. and Mrs. Archie Jones of Prineville were over night guests of Mr. and Mrs. Chance Wilson last Saturday. They spent Sunday fishinc at the Dell Neal ranch.
