Mrs. Rodgers Reviews
Book For Bookworms
Mrs. Virginia Turner entertain
ed the Bookworms Club at her
home on Church street Tuesday
evening. Mrs. Lucy E. Rodgers
reviewed the book, "Oh" The
Brave Music," by Dorothy Evelyn
Smith. This is the story of an
unusual girl from the time she
is seven until her mid-teens. Pov
erty, insecurity and the loss of her
parents make her withdraw into
the land of her imagination where
she gives more attention to the
"brave music" than to reality.
The scene is laid in Yorkshire,
England in the early 1930's. Re
freshments were served.
