Some farm family in Morrow County may help show a foreign coun try the American way of life by playing host to a young Euro pean this fall. County Agent N. C. Anderson announces that two delegates in the International Farm Youth Exchange program are coming to Oregon in September, and "Host" families are being sought, The visitors are Fredrick Wer- ren, 25, of Switzerland, who will arrive September 7, and Miss Ita Posch, 23, of the Netherlands, arriving September 27. Each will spend about three months in the state. Miss Posch would like to live on a dairy farm. Her father, who is mayor of their village, oper ates a 65-acre dairy farm. She has had 2 years of home econom ics training, speaks English, and has spent a year in England. She enjoys folk dancing and sports and plays the piano and accord ian. She arrived in this country in July and has spent the last two months in West Virginia. Frederick Werren also speaks English. He was graduated from the Agricultural Polytech Insti tute of Zurich, and has no pre ference about what type farm he visits. He has been on a Ne braska farm since June. This is a two-way program. Glenn Klein, of Marion Countv. sailed recently for New Zealand as an itYa delegate. A second Oregon delegate will soon be chosen to visit another country.
