On June 17 from 7:30 to 8:00 over Station KOAC, Morrow coun ty 4-H members will participate in a four-county radio program with Harney, Lane, and Wasco counties. Edna Hoadley, Irrigon, Patricia Peck, Heppner, and Ronald Baker, lone, will take special recreation leadership training. Many of the club members will take special swimming lessons and several of the girls will go out for the girls glee club and choir. CoraBelle Nutting And James Noreen Married Saturday From Prineville comes word of the marriage, Saturday after noon, June 10, of Miss Cora Belle Nutting and James Noreen. Attendants in the garden wed ding were Jane Noreen as ma tron of honor and William Seek as groom's man, while Betty Smethurst of Lexington anil Beverly Yocom of Heppner were bridesmaids. The bride and groom will make their home in Pullman where Mr. Noreen is a student in veterinary science at Washing ton Mate college. the bride is a graduate of Heppner high school. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Nutting, former residents here. Going from here to attend the ceremony were Mr. and Mrs. Bert Kane and niece, Beverly Mayflower Milk and Cream Homogenized Milk Chocolate Drink Butter Buttermilk Cottage Cheese Cheddar Cheese Ice Cream and Sherbet Yocom, and Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Smethurst and daughter Betty of Lexington. ; o Lexington Home Scene of Wedding Friday Evening Mrs. Claudine Carver and Paul Warren were married Friday evening. June 9 in a quiet cere mony in the presence of a few friends at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Dean Hunt in Lexington. Mrs. Hunt and Ervin Anderson attended the bride and groom, and Elder Cook performed the ceremony. The bride was gowned in a navy blue and white sheer with blue accessories. Mrs. Warren is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Drake and is employed in the office of the Heppner schools. Mr. Warren is also in the employ of School District No. 1. After a trip to Salt Lake City and Yellowstone park they will return to Heppner to make their home. o HERE FROM MASSACHUSETTS Aftnr an nhsenre of 14 years. George Noble of New Bedford, Mass., is paying Heppner a visu this week. Noble spent 11 months here in the Civilian Conserva tion Corps camp and made nu- rYirvrmic annua i n t a nces in town. some of whom he has been able to renew in his short visit. He has been employed in the state hnsnital at New Redford for sev eral years.
