Clerks "Wised Up"
On Fund Methods
A meeting of the School Dis
trict Clerks was held in the court
house Tuesday for a discussion
of a new method of disbursing
school funds, record keeping and
handling of the finances of
school .districts.
Jack Van Winkle of the First
National bank explained the pro
cedure for issuing warrants and
checks for the proper disburse
ment of school funds. He urged
school clerks to sign the proper
papers in the bank before the
first of July, so that the new
procedure could be followed
without delay.
Robert Witherell of Pendleton,
auditor of the school books for
the past two years, explained
auditing procedures and discus
sed problems involved in keep
ing the records of the school
district. Books of the clerks are
due July 1 for auditing.
