Jack Van Winkle of the First National bank explained the pro cedure for issuing warrants and checks for the proper disburse ment of school funds. He urged school clerks to sign the proper papers in the bank before the first of July, so that the new procedure could be followed without delay. Robert Witherell of Pendleton, auditor of the school books for the past two years, explained auditing procedures and discus sed problems involved in keep ing the records of the school district. Books of the clerks are due July 1 for auditing. Clerks in attendance were: Mrs. Claudine Carver, Heppner, District No. 1; Mrs. Jerry Bros- nan, Lena, District No. 2; Mrs. A. C.
