PENTECOST
The Birthday of The Church
Sunday, June S, is Pentecost Sunday the day on
which we celebrate the Birthday of the Church.
It was on the Day of Pentecost, seven weeks after
the resurrection of Christ that the Apostle Peter
preached the first Gospel sermon. Three thousand
people accepted Christ and were baptized Into Him,
becoming the first converts to Christianity. From that
beginning, the Church of Jesus Christ has spread thru
twenty centuries to become the most powerful force for
good the world has ever seen.
