county are two recently organized
by Mrs. John Graves, Heppner.
The projects to be carried are
sewing and cooking. Members are

Winkle.
Mrs. John Graves is a former
4-H club member and is using
the experience gained from her

The Hardman Happy Healthy
club was added to the list of 4-H
clubs that have been awarded
a 4-H club charter. This charter

Holt, general manager, Pacific
International Livestock exposi
tion, are plans for a Junior Spring
show to be held at Portland for
1949. This will be a show for 4-H
and FFA members.
By inaugurating this Spring
show it is felt that Junior feeders
of livestock will be adjusting
their program of feeding to a
more practical basis for fattening
and marketing by conducting
their finishing operations through
the winter and into the spring,
rather than contending with the
warmer summer and early fall
months for this.
The need for this show was
brought about by crowded con
ditions at the Pacific Internation
al Livestock exposition. This fall
show would continue to draw 4-H
breeding livestock classes, farm
and vegetable crop exhibits, and
home economic exhibits.

week to spend several days at
the home of Mrs. Benge's parents,
