Recently annoucned by Walter Holt, general manager, Pacific International Livestock exposi tion, are plans for a Junior Spring show to be held at Portland for 1949. This will be a show for 4-H and FFA members. By inaugurating this Spring show it is felt that Junior feeders of livestock will be adjusting their program of feeding to a more practical basis for fattening and marketing by conducting their finishing operations through the winter and into the spring, rather than contending with the warmer summer and early fall months for this. The need for this show was brought about by crowded con ditions at the Pacific Internation al Livestock exposition. This fall show would continue to draw 4-H breeding livestock classes, farm and vegetable crop exhibits, and home economic exhibits. Mr. and Mrs. Terrel Benge drove to Portland the first of the week to spend several days at the home of Mrs. Benge's parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Smith?
