Mr. and Mrs. Herman Dims re turned Wednesday from Portland where they were called by illness of hr father, John W. Edwards. Mr. Edwards died Monday and was buried Wednesday morning. They got home Wednesday evening. Their daughter LaVern, student nurse at Pendleton, visited them Sunday. Billy Allen of lone spent Wednes day in Irrigon. Mrs. E. E. Rucker left Thursday for Farragut, Ida. to visit her son, Clifford who is in the navy. She will also visit her daughter, Mrs. Violet Amos in Kellogg Ida. Mrs. Henry Miller, Mrs. Leo Had- 0. M. Maxir.e Frazer had her tonsils re moved Thursday at the Ordnance hospital. She returned to her home Sunday. Roy Minnick has moved to Con roy to open a gravel pit there. A new man has taken his section job. Donald Allen S 2c from Farragut arrived Sunday to visit Leroy Min nick, S 2c. They both returned to the base Tue.ay night. Tommy Haddox, a soldier station ed it Astoria, spent the week-end with his brother Carl and family. W i. irm Voile has gone overseas according to a can received by the John Voile family Calvin Allen is starting his navy boot training at Farragut Idaho. Mrs. Lois Buell of Portland arriv ed Saturday evening to visit her daughter, Mr T r. Aldrich and family. OJlie Corriel is ill in Spokane. Veda May Hill has had a bad case of tonsilitis. She spent a few days in the Ordnance hoslpital but has re turned to her home. Otto Myers has been ill with the flu and spent a few days in the hos pital. He is at home now but not fully recovered The J. A. Shouns have received word that their son James is in a hospital but he says not seriously ill. T. W. CUTSFORTH ILL M.'s. Frank Brosius of Lakeview arrived at Lexington Tuesday to visit her father, T. W. Cutsforth, who is seriously ill.
