James S., Arnberg sold his store to Mr. and Mrs. Fred Adams. The Adams sold their place to Sinus Brown of Portland. Ernest Stephens is home for a few days from the Bay View naval station where he is a cement man. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Bediwell of Spray are visiting his. parents, Mr. and Mrs. Emery Bediwell. Mr. and Mrs. Chester Wilson went to the fellowship meeting at the Pentecostal church at Milton Freewater Wednesday. Frank Leight. Allie Corriel, Fred Marquam arid Jerry Buell returned from the mountains with three bucks. Frank Leight went to Portland to visit his sister, Mrs. Nellie Netter, Mr. and Mrs. J. F. McMillan and family have moved into their town house from the farm ioo the school yrar. Mrs. Ola Redding is vistin" in Portland. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Carmich fel were business visitors in Portr land last week-end. Lorene Van Winkle was a week end fuest of Faith Corey. Mr. and Mrs. Huff and son Al bert of Portland , called at the Pa -pineau home Saturday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Russell Chandler pnd daughter Betty are moving to Portland Wednesday. Mrs. -Smith and son went to Pine City to visit Dora Moore. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Jacks were Pendleton visitors Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Davis went to Ida ho Friday: Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Struthers of Irrigon and Mr. and Mrs. S. M. Struthers of Butter creek left Monday to visit in Palouse and to Spokane to visit Mrs Etta Struth ers, back ot Yakima and on home.
