larmers faced with seasonal sur
pluses of perishable fruits and veg
etables was assured today with the
release by the U. S. department of
agriculture of the blue stamp food
list for August.
All the commodities named to the
list by the secretary of agriculture
may be purchased with blue food
stamps by those families taking part
in the food stamp plan. M. Louis
Belangie, Surplus Marketing admin
istration area supervisor, announced
that 60,000 low-income persons wre
participating in the Oregon area.
Blue stamp foods as designated
for the month of August are as fol
lows: Fresh vegetables, including
potatoes; fresh plums, fresh prunes,
fresh pears, fresh oranges, fresh
peaches, fresh apples; corn meal shel'
eggs, hominy (corn) grits, dry edi
ble beans; wheat flour, enriched
wheat flour, self-raising flour, en
riched self -rising flour, whole
wheat (graham) flour; dried prunes
and raisins.
Self-rising flour is interpreted to
be flour which contains soda, phos
phate and salt. On the July list,
but eliminated from the August list,
is nork and pork lard.

Irrigation District on the 29th day
of May, 1941, by sixty three (63)
qualified electors of said district for
the dissolution of said district, the
liquidation of its indebtedness and
the distribution of its assets, and
the special election held for said
purpose on the 30th day of June,
1941, in each of the election pre
cincts in said district at which elec
tion more' than two thirds of the
votes cast at said election was in
favor of "Dissolution of the District
Yes',, the said Board of Directors
on the 7th day of July, 1941, filed a
petition in the above entitled court
to hear and determine the regular
ity, legality and correctness of said
proceedings and the confirmatij.i
thereof.
You are further notified that all
persons interested may appear in the
above entitled court within thirty
(30) days from the date of the last
publication of this notice, and con
test the validity of the proceedings
had, and the plan proposed for the
dissolution of said district.
You are further notified that if
you fail or neglect to so appear, the
said Board of Directors will apply
to the above entitled court for an
order and decree as follows:
FIRST: That the court hear and
determine the regularity, legality i
and correctness of all proceedings
had on and pursuant to said petition
filed with said board of directors for
the dissolution of said district and
of the proposed plan set forth n

execution.
SECOND: That upon such hearing

of equalization for Morrow County,

house in Heppner, Oregon, and pub

will correct errors in valuation, de

sessor of Morrow County, Oregon,
