TICE OF ELECTION. As a result of the
passage of the act of July 14, 1939 (Pub.
No. 173, 76th Cong.), which amends the
Taylor Grazing Act by adding section
18, a new section which concerns Ad
visory Boards, it is necessary to con
duct new elections within the various
grazing districts.
Elections will be governed by the
provisions of the Federal Range Code,
revised to August 31, 1938, with section
12, paragraphs a, c, d, and g of the Fed
eral Range Code being amended, Sep
tember 18, 1939, by the Secretary of
the Interior to conform properly with
the intent and purpose of the new sec
tion (18) of the Taylor Grazing Act.

be held in the County Agent's Office,
Heppner, Oregon, on October 18.
Five members will tfte elected: two
Sheepmen, two Cattlemen and one Free,
use.
Nominations will open at polling
place at 1:00 o'clock p. m and the vot
ing polls will remain open between 2
and 5 o'clock p. m.
Only those persons who are qualified
to receive regular, free-use, or non-use
licenses or permits will be allowed to
vote.
The existing Board members will be
considered as retaining their positions
until their successors are elected and
properly appointed by the Secretary of
