A car of wood arrived Sunday for Martin lUnenflend, and was unloaded by Messrs. Gray, Hur.ipstv and Pettyjohn, each - - having an interest in the wood Dust! Dusteverywhere-noth in a hut '.inst. No wonder the women don't luve any use for brojm! Mr. Arthur Cogwell took his mother to Portland on Sunday. Mr. Crowell took them to Arling ton in his car, and Cogwells completed their journey by rail. Mr. H. 0. Ely commenced seeding last Tuesday and several other farmers are busy treating their wheat to seed. Messrs. Hardesty and Petty john helped Mr. Palmtteer repair his pump Tuesday. Mrs. Pred Pettyjohn called on Mrs. Hardesty Monday. Mr. A. Medlock and family ol Cecil were visiting with P. Med lock's on Sunday,- , Mr. Edwards visited with James Hardesty Monday evening. Ray Pettyjohn had the misfor tune to get a large splinter in hi foot while going home Monday, and ii now quite lame. Paul and Earl Pettyjohn, were on the sick list the past week. Paul is now able to attend ichool again.
