Mra. French has some resi dence property at Hardman which ha was looking after while out there. A. M. Zink was taken quite ill last week in Portland, where he went with E. C Hcliker to attend the big stock show. Mr. Zink has not been in the best of health for some time past and the recent sudden death of his wife has helped to aggravate his trouble. lone Independent. Frank Roberts departed for his Portland home on Wednesday after pending a few weeks in Heppner, looking after-his business interests. Mr. Roberts is the owner of several buildings on Willow street, and while here made some needed improvements in the property. Mrs. T. W. Lowe, postmistress at Cecil, is in the city today, accom panied by her brother, Wm. Hynd, of Sand Hollow.
