Dykstra writea this paper from hit home at Oregon Ctly, that he ia the proud father of an and one half pound boy which was born to Mr. and Mrs. Dykstra on the 13th Mother and baby are doing wall, and the young man has been given the nam of Chat. S. jr. Mr. Dykstra also states that he must have brought with him a lot of Morrow county's good weather, aa they are having a very fin fall then this year. He is running the Holcomb Valley Poultry and Berry Farm, near Oregon City, and ia doing well. Daniel W. Boltnott, formerly head of Heppner schools, was a visitor in the city on Monday. Mr. Boitnott hat been apending the patt two yeart In the South, having charge of schools in Louisana, but he could not resist the temptation to get back to Oregon, and is now fully convinced that he will always make hi home in this state. He Is making hi horn in Port land at pressnt, being the represent ative of a school supply house. There will be a Men' Bsnquet tt the Federated Church thia Friday evening at 7 o'clock to organise a Men' Bible Gats. A fin program hat been arranged and large num ber of men are expected. The Ladle Aid Society will prepare the dinner and do the serving. Mr, Phelpt will be the toattmatter. No written invita tions have been aent out but a gen eral invitation is given to the men of Heppner. Mr. and Mr. F. R. Brown have been enjoying a visit thia week with Mr. and Mr. R. W. Lowery, of Niagara Falls, N. Y. Mrs. Lowery it a titter of Mr. Brown.
