W. t. Potter and wife, Mrs. Delia
Hallock, Hra. Frank Roberta, of Port
land, and Mrs. Tayior Dodson of Bel
lingham, Wash, returned to their re
spective homes on Friday. They were
called to the city to attend the funer
al of the lata Mrs. Ann Minor.
S. . Notaon departed for Pendle
ton on Monday to attend district
convention of the Red Cross. While
away Mr. Kotson will also take in
the Round-lp and then fro on to Hot
Lake for a medical examination and
treatment.
Ben Buschke, who farms the Higgs
place in Cason cur, yon. was a visitor
to Portland last week, returning home
on Thursday. He states that he did
not find a great deal of evidence of
prosperity in the metropolis, so far
as business is concerned, though
there seemed to be much building
activitv in the residential districts.

Harvey Ewlng. formerly a resident
ot Morrow county, and owner of a
part of the Henriksen farm at Cecil,
was a visitor in Heppner Saturday.
Mr. Ewing now resides in Idaho,
wnere he has land holdings.
