city Tuesday to ascertain what he
might do about It. Mr. Strait states
that thore was fully 18 Inches of snow
fell along the river during the recent
big storm, which gradually disappeared

ting from two to eight cents better
than the market price all along and It
Is gaining In numbers rapidly. We
previously nrranged for a moeting of
the wool growers when Mr. Ward
could be present but owing to conflict
ing dates this had to be called off. We
are epceptlonnlly fortunate In getting
Mr. Ward at this time, and he will ad
dress the assembly briefly here at
Heppner and then will go to Pine City
for a meeting In the evening.
Inasmuch as this touches upon the
Bheepmens' most vital problem, every
man ought to be out.
