Walter Pope and Hobert Lowe left on Tuesday for a ten days vacation In the mountains J. M. Morrow, representative of Pen dleton Marble works, made a short stay in'Cecil during the past week. Mrs. Joe Rearlea of Carvllle left on the local for Portland on Thursday where she will visit for Borne time. Mr. and Mra. Everett Logan and fam ily of Falrvelw ranch spent Sunday at the home of Leon Logan at Four Mile. Mra A. Henrlksen of Willow Creek ranch left on Saturday for Portland where she will visit friends for a few weeks. Miss Doris Lee left on Monday for her home In Alderdale, Wash., after spend ing a few daya amongst her friends In Cecil. Homer Nash arrived In Cecil on Mon day and will visit around here for some time before returning to his home In The Dalles. Charley Blackett left on the local on Friday for Heppner to have one of his hands, which he hurt while at work, attended to. The "Mayor" and his nephew, Robert Lowe, and several others from Cecil Were chasing around Arlington on Sat urday taking in all the sights of the busy town. Miss Bernlcs Beeson, who has been visiting with her uncle, Geo. Henrlk sen, at Strawberry ranch for several weeks, returned to her home at Canby, Oregon, on Monday. Mr. and Mra Ralph Winter have tak en up their residence at The Shep herd's Rest while R. W. Is hauling wheat to Minor and Hynd's warehouse at Cecil for Leon Logan. Jack Hynd of Butterby Flats left on Friday for Montana where he has sheep grating. Jack Intends to ship several cars of his sheep to Chicago markets before returning to Cecil. Miss Bernice Franklin of Heppner is visiting all her friends around Cecil before leaving on Saturday for Milton, where he parents have bought a home and will reside for the future. Miss Malinda May, who has been vis iting at Wamic, Ore., arrived In Cecil on Thursday and will r.iend the re mainder of her vacation at the home of her parents at Lone Star ranch. Mr and Mrs. T. H. Lowe entertained a party of young people on Saturday night at the Highway House. Games and dancing were Indulged In during the evening. Refreshments were serv ed at midnight Mrs. Everett Logan and daughter, Miss Lois, of Falrview, and also Jack Hynd and son, Master Jackie and daughter, Miss Annie C. and nephew, Russell Shaw, were all passengers on the local for Heppner on Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Geo.
