Farm bureau officials from all over the state will meet in Portland October It and 23, to consider the report of offi cials appointed to draft a constitution ami by-laws for the state farm bureau feneration. The committee appainted to act on the constitution and by-laws consists of George A. Mansfield, Jackson coun ty, chairman; P. O. Powell, Polk: O. R. Dougherty, Clackamas; J. H. Dobbin, Wallowa, Albert Hunter, Union, and W. W. Harrah, Umatilla. These men met at the state fair at Salem and com pleted a tentative constitution for state organization of the bureaus, and their report Is being sent to the farm bureaus of the state for consideration. C. extension di rector: To form a federation of the county farm bureaus of the state, to coordin ate their activities, and formulate pol icies for their manairement, adjusting relationships, securing beneficial legis lation for the farmers, and promoting Improvement in all phases of agricul ture, home economics and rural life. Redmond, Ore, Croice potatoes, to be shipped out as seed, are now being har veseted on a tract of 300 acres, which last March was covered with sagebrush.
