Miss Belle Fenwick of lone is visiting with her uncle Clarence Win ters at "Shady Dell." Alt Troedson of Morgan and J. E. Crubtree of "Dotheboys Hill" were callers in Cecil on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Krebs and friends from " The Last Camp" spent Monday at the county Beat. Henry Springer who has been hav ing a vacation, returned to his home at "Poplar Grove" on Friday. Joe White of The Willows and also Bob Montague of Arlington made a .short stay in Cecil on Wednesday. J. M. Melton of "The Lookout" left on Wednesday for Heppner where he will visit friends tor a few days. E. L. Vinton and his crew were In Cecil Friday and Saturday making their final survey of the Cecil Scenic Highway. Henriksen on "Willow C.-eek" ranch, left for his home in Troutdale on Wednesay. Mrs. Oral Henriksen and (laughter Anna Josephine arrived from Hepp ner on Friday and will take up their abode at "The Snuggery." Jess Uigdon who has been working for Dwight Misner on his wheat ranch near Cecil, left on the local for Portland on Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Forkner and family of The Dalles spent several aays during the past week with Mr. and Mrs. John Nash at Ewing. Mrs. Wm. Winter of Four Mile arrived In Cecil on Saturday. Mrs. Winter has been visiting with her j daughter, Mrs. Jack Fenwick, at lone : for. some time. j Mr. and MrB. Karl Farnsworth and family and niece, Miss Velma Hall, I who have been having a vacation In 1 the mountains, returned to their home at Rhea on Saturday. Archie Barnard was down to Ew lug on Wednesday with his truck to help his undo, J. H. Franklin, move his goods to Heppner. Mr. Franklin Intends moving to Heppner with his famiy for the winter. Misses Lena Krebs and Alma Dev in, also Herbert Somuierfeldt, left (or Portland on Thursday. Misses Georgia Summers and M. H. Lowe and John Krebs accompanied them to Arlington. Misses Helen Barratt and Doris Mahoney ot Heppner were tbe week end guests of Miss A. C. Hynd of 'Butterby Flats." Miss Doris and Dana Logan of Falrview visited with MrB. Weltha Combest on Thursday. Herb Hynd of "Butterby Flats," Geo. Shaw of Prince Rupert, B. C. and Misses A. C. Hynd, Lena Krebs and A. C. Lowe autoed to Heppner on Saturday and spent Sunday mak ing a round of their friends before returning home. Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Krebs of "The Last Camp" entertained a party of young people on Wednesday evening, the honor guests being Miss Lena Krebs of Portland, Miss Alma Devln of Heppner and Herbert Sommer feldt of Lents. She left on Sunday for Beaverton, accompanied by her grandson, Fran cis Nash, who has been residing in Cecil for several weeks. Mrs. Nash will make her, borne with her son, Petter, who is professor of the Bea verton high school. The best wishes of Cecil friends are extended to Mrs. Nash In her new surroundings.
