May of "Lon Slar" nnrh was looking up his Cecil friends on Sunday. Mrs. Peter Nash spent tlie week end viaitlng at Ewing with her Bon John and family. Mr. and Mrs. Geo. A. Miller of "Highvlew" were visiting In Arling ton on Tuesday. Miss Annie Troedson of Ella has charge of the school during the ab sence of Mrs. Miller. Joe White of the Willows made a short stay in Cecil on Saturday on his rway home from lone. J. H. Franklin of Rhea left on the local for Pendleton on Sunday where he will visit for some time. M. V. Logan arrived in Cecil on Friday from Condon, (where he has been visiting for a few days. Miss Hazel Winters of "Shady Dell" visited with Mrs. Geo. Krebs of "The Last Camp" on Monday. Mrs. Oral llenriksen of "The Snug gery" left on Friday for Portland where she will visit for some time. Galen Falkner who has been work ing at Morgan made a call in Cecil on Sunday before going on to Hliea. Mr. and Mrs. Everett Logan of "Falrview" ranch visited with Mrs J. H. Franklin of Rhea on Thurs day. Mrs. Jack Hynd of "Butterby Flats" visited Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Mc- Entire of "Klllarney" on Wednes day. Mr. and Mrs. Claude L. Murray, "the newlywedB," passed through Ce cil on Friday. Best wishes from all old friends. Mrs. Mima Miller, teacher at the Cecil school 'was called to Portland on Sunday through the sudden Illness of her daughter. Messrs. A. and G. llenriksen and Mrs. A. llenriksen spent Monday ev ening with Mr. and Mrs. Jack Hynd of "Uutterby Flats." Mr. anil Mrs. W. G. Palmateer and daughter Miss Cleta of "Windy Nook" spent Sunday with J. M. Mel ton at "The Lookout." Mrs. Harry Kinsley and Infant, who have been visiting Iwith Mrs. J. E. Crubtree of "Dotheboys Hill" left on Sunduy for their home in Wasco. Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Minor who have been spending a day or two around Cecil left for their Portland home on Saturday returning to Cecil on Thursday en route for Heppner. Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Duncan and daughter MIhs Mildred of "Busy Bee" ranch und Mrs. E. Schull and sons, who are visiting at the "Busy Bae," were doing business In Cecil on Fri day, Miss Georgia Summers of "The LaHt Camp" entertained all her young friends to an Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday afternoon. Every one thoroughly enjoyed themselves and report a line time. E. L. Vinton, the district highway engineer, was the only member of the crew twlth enough energy left after the hard work of the week to be able to leave Cecil on Friday night for lone to attend the Elks Bene lit Ball. Hob Thompson of "The Shepherd's Rest" Bhipped several cars of ewes and lambs from Cecil on Saturday to his Heppner ranch. We notice Bob is driving a fine nehv Nash car and trying out the "Cecil Scenic" highway. The Caterpillar "crawled" off well at the Cecil dance two weeks ago, but don't miss "The Gasoline Pump," the latest on "Cecil Scenic Highway." Arlington music, five pieces. Jack Hynd, "the mayor" and Wal ter Pope, "the marshall" autoed to the Sand Hollow country on Wed nesday. Jack was so pleased with the fine feed on Hynd Bros, ranch "Rose Lawn" that he has sent a large bunch of fine ewes and lambs to graze there for a few weeks. Mrs. Swen Troedson left Cecil on Monday for Pocatella, Idaho. After an absunce of thirty-one years, Mrs. Troedson intends lealng Pocatella with friends early In May for her na tive lnnd Sweden. They will Bull on the "Stockholm" from Now York for Gothenburg, Sweden.
