The county roadmen have - been busy all week making the dust fly opposite "The Last Camp." We are glad to see Miss Hazel Winters of "Shady Dell" out once more after her severe illness. Galen Falkner of Rhea and Miss Helen Wallace of the Willows were calling In Cecil on Saturday. Harold Ahalt arrived from Condon on Saturday with a motorcycle and Is doing some traveling these days. Herman Montgomery who bought the H. Wilson ranch on Willow creek was a Cecil caller on Friday. Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Minor are spending some time around Cecil be fore returning to their home in Port land. Mr. and Mrs. G. U. Krebbs of Port land arrived In Cecil on Saturday and spent a few days at "The Last Camp" with their sons. Mr. and Mrs. K. E. Duncan and daughter Miss Mildred of "Busy Bee" ranch were calling on their friends in Cecil on Sunday. J. Phillips of Arlington has been busy painting Highview, the resi dence of Mr. and Mrs. G. A. Miller during the past two days. Miss Etta Barnes came down to "Poplar Grove" on 8unday from lone nd spent the day with her parent, Mr. and Mrs, Ben Barnes. E. Shrevc, time keeper for Oskar lluber at the Cecil camp, left for Pen dleton on Tuesday w here he has tak en another position under the State Highway Commission. Hut Pearson and Alva Bennett au toed from Boardman to Cecil on Tues day leaving on Wednesday for Hepp ner whore they will join a Bhearlng crew and go Into Washington for the shearing season. Bob Pope of Walla Walla spent the week end In Cecil after spending a few days in The Dalles. Minor, Thompson and Mnt loik are the busiest men on Willow creek at the present time looking af ter their lambing crews. Lambs are plentiful and strong. The Arizona growers are already shearing and their clips will be on the market now; local sheepmen will be offering their 1920 clips within 30 to 60 days and the members of the association believe that the gov ernment should take cognizance of this fact In disposing of the remain der of Its holdings.
