HOW TO POISON THE. RABBITS.
The winter poison campaign for
he rabbits, so well organized by Mr.
3rown, County Agent, was cs every
one knows unavoidably postponed.
Vlnter poisoning is to be commended
and encouraged, tut the rabbits are
here now.
The following receipt is giving
plendld results over much of the
county: .
I part pulverized strychnine
(alkaloid.)
I part brown sugar or part
sacharine.
IS parts common table salt.
Mix dry, taking good care that too
dust is inhaled. See that all rabbit
pens are well supplied with this
mixture, and that bates of one half
table spoonful each are placed around
exposed fields.
To properly protect" livestock, use
cne of the following devices:
Take a stake 2x2 and drive in the
ground leaving the top only four
Inches above ground; then bore an
Inch hole In the top of the stake and
place- the bait in the hole.
Or scatter 2x4 blocks 4 in. long
with holes bored in the sides around
the field and place the poison in
them.
This will entertain bunny for the
summ'.-r .we feel sure.
Sea that every farmer makes it his
personal business to put this out.
Let us Vnow as to results obtained.
L. A. HUNT,
County Agent.
