In view of the fact that no wheat has been sold In several months and a quiet has reigned supreme In the wool market, so far as local clips are concerned, the showing made by the banks at this time is remarkable, and reflects the steady financial condition of far mers and stockmen generally. In a few weeks the 1317 wheat crop will be on the market, and it Is safe to predict that more or less of this years wool crop will have been sold within that time. Ely and Mrs. Esickson were dinner guests at the Earl Morgan home Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Troedson made a business trip to Vancouver last week, returning home Monday. Mrs. J. A. Troedson visited F. M. Broady's orchard Saturday and took away some fine peaches. H. 0. Ely purchased several sacks' of nice pears from Mr. Holbrook last week. Geo. Ely and ' Mrs. Isickson mo tored to lone Monday.- A number of persons from this vicinity will see the Round-Up. Mr. Hellcker went to Parkers Mill for lumber last week.
