Notice is hereby given that the County Court of the State of Oregon for Morrow County, has appointed Minnie L. Leach administratrix of the Estate of William E. Leach, de ceased. Another contribution to the screen by Lois Weber will be shown at the Star Theatre on Friday and Saturday under the title of "The Mysterious Mrs. M.," a Bluebird photoplay In spired by Thomas Edgelow's maga zine story. Devotees of. Bluebird will recall with delight the work of Mary MacLaren in previous Lois Weber productions among Bluebirds "Shoes," "Saving the Family Name" and "Wanted A Home" and will be glad to know that the pretty Scotch lassie is to be one of the stars of the forthcoming presentation. Harrison Ford, her leading man, will share honors with Miss MacLaren. There is no one woman who has done so much for moving pictures as Lois Weber. "Hypocrites," "Jewel," "Where Are My Children?" and "Idle Wives" are among the many produc tions she has made apart from her contributions to Bluebirds. In this series she presented and acted, with her husband, Phillips Smalley, one of the earliest Bluebirds, "Hop, the Dev il's Brew," and later produced "The Eye of God," with Tyrone Power; "John Needham's Double," with the same fine actor; "The Flirt," with Marie Walcamp, and then she discov ered Mary MacLaren. NOTICE OF SHERIFF'S SALE. By virtue of an execution and or der of sale duly issued by the Clerk of the Circuit Court of the State of Ore gon for Morrow County, dated the 7th day of August, 1917, in a certain suit in the said Circuit Court, where in C. W. Oathout as plaintiff, re covered judgment against Maigret H. Ketch and Amos R. Ketch for the sum of Sixteen Hundred and Fifty and no-100 Dollars, with interest thereon at the rate of Seven per cent per annum from June 12th, 1915, and the further sum of $200.00 at torneys' fees and costs and disburse ments taxed and allowed at Nineteen and 40-100 Dollars, on the 4th day of August, 1917. Notice is hereby given that I will on the 15th day of September, 1917, at 2 o'clock P. M. of said day, at the front door of the Court House in Heppner, Morrow County, Oregon, sell at Public Auction to the highest bidder for cash in hand, the following described property, to-wit: Lots Two (2) and Three (3) and the Northeast Quarter of the South west Quarter of Section 31, in Town ship 2 North of Range 24, E. W. M., in Morrow County, Oregon. Taken and levied upon as the prop erty of said Defendants, or so much thereof as shall be necessary to sat isfy the said judgement in favor of C. W. Chicken House Burned. The Aire alarm brought a large number of people flocking to the rear of the county court house last Friday. Someone had been burn ing weeds and brush on the Wm. Ayers property, and in some manner the chicken house caught on fire. The blaze was put under control be fore a great deal of damage was done. E. D. Brown expects to go to the mountains next week for a recea tion of a few weeks. He believes mountain air will prove beneficial to his health. He recently returned from the coast. Jack Van Ornian, formerly in the banking business in Portland, came to Heppner the middle of the wet'k for a visit with Hugh E. Bran.
