Return From Visit to Crater Lake.
Glenn Y. Wells and wife, accom
panied by Mrs. Wells' father, arrived
in Heppner Saturday evening from an
extensive auto tour of Southern Ore
gon. While away, Mr. Wells says
they visited the fisherman's paradise
of Oregon, the Klamath Falls coun
try. They enjoyed boating trips over
the Klamath lakes and spent much
time fishing. The most enjoyable
part of the trip was a visit to Crater
Lake and the country surrounding It.
Although the season is early and as
yet the hotel has not been opened
there, Mr. Wells says a large number
of tourists are already finding their
way there. Mr. and Mrs. Wells ex

and fish are In abundance there, and
for mountain climbing and supberb

ing better. On top of the Powder
mountains Mr. Wells says, there la
a chain of some forty lakes.
