SHOWS.
On Friday, June 29 the citizens of
Heppner will enjoy the privilege of
seeing Cole Bros. World-Toured
Shows and Trained Wild Animal Ex
hibition, aj two performances, after
noon and night, rain or shine. All
tents are positively waterproof.
Mafny new features added this year.
The one show that is absolutely dif
ferent from all others, and is without
doubt the highest class, most pro
gressive and most pleasing tented
exhibition that will visit you this
season. This is the only big show
coming this way this season.
No one nePds feel sorry for the
poor little young ones who grew up
never knowing what a clown was
like. Nowadays the successful Cole
Bros, fun producer adapts his clown
ing quite as much to the grownups as
to the youngsters. "Happy" Charley
Post the master clown of them all
has been secured by Cole Bros, at a
fabulous salary, he is not only a pro
ducer but an originator, quick to
take advantage In burlesque of
events occupying thei attention of
the public.
Prof. F. J. Rogers, without doubt
Europe's most talented horse trainer,
with his great troupe of five white
Arabian horses, showing the acme of
equine skill and intelligence, per
forming unparalleled feats under the
trainer's direction.
"Cheerful" Gardner and his big
herd of educated elephants, without
a doubt the most intelligent and ver
satile elephants in the tented arena
today. These mastodons of the an!
mal world interpret the difficult
.drills, dancing numbers, including
the "Salome" dance, from pyramids
and living statuary, pictures, play
provoking and clownish pranks, in
which "Myrtle" the largest clown In
the world takes a leading part and
in many other ways show the wonder
ful teaching of their trainer.
Mr. Chas. Gray and his $50,000.00
group of performing black maned
African bred lions. Mr. Gray is
Europe's most noted wlW animal
trainer and his lion act is said to be
the most sensational before the pub
lic today.
Miss Muriel Croft, the girl with the
mixed group of leopards and panth
ers, a dainty bit of French feminin
ity, whose fearless performance with
eight of these ferocious beasts has
duplicated her European success here
in one season.
Madame Rogers and her beauti
ful white Arabian horses in a magni
ficent equine statuary display. One
of the most facinating numbers ever
conceived. A series of living pictures
preseied with surprising correctness
as to art and the minutest details,
truly a pictorial delight, depicting
the following pictures : "Military
Attention," "Home Sweet Home,"
"Treaty of Peace," "Love," "Statue
I of Liberty,"
