She was called from her home at Wasco by the death of the infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Lucas which occurred on Tues day of last week. , Mr. and Mrs. French Burroughs of Rhea creek motored in from their ranch Tuesday and spent a few hours in this city on business. Mr. Bur roughs brought in some coyote scalps but he says these animals are far more scarce this year than last. Hon. John A. McQulnn of Portland Is visiting at the home of his daugh ter, Mrs. Roy Mlssildine, on Black! Horse. - Mr. McQulnn, who is a prpm-, lnent engineer of Portland, has re-, cently announced his candidacy fori the commissionership in that city. Linden Lucas and mother and Miss Thelma Lucas came over from Wasco to attend the funeral of flie infant son of Mr. and Mrs. F. J. Lucas.
