Chas. and Omar Stanton, Eight
Mile farmers, were in the city Wed
nesday making preliminary arrange
ments for a public sale which they
will hold at the Chas. Stanton ranch
on Saturday the 28th day of October.
On that date they expect to sell all
their farm stock, consisting of horses,
household goods and farm machinery.

A half section of land in Umatilla
county recently sold for $40,000.
Tills is just ordinary wtieat land
situated near Adams. Many farms in
Morrow county produced ns big wheat
crops this year as did land in the
Adams section. Yet there is Borne
;dilTorence between $20 and $125 per
'acre. Morrow county land is the
cheapest in the world, which means
a larger profit for the farmer.
