Six weeks ago, three well known Portland men who are incorporated under the name of the Celro-Kola Co., introduced to fountain dispen sers a new 5c fountain drink called Celro-Kola. It made a hit with the dispensers, and with consumers of fountain drinks whose attention the dispensers callfd to it. It's sponsors decided that they needed a slogan for this new fountain wonder. So It came about that Celro-Kola made its Initial bow to the f.ubllc in general when is wa recently announced that $50 In cash prizes would be given for a slogan, i.e., $25 for the first prize, $15 for second prize and $10 for third prize. The contest covered a period of ten days. The judges required two weeks to canvass the returns, and select the winning slogans. Although no one has yet attempted nor had time to count them, It is estimated that 10, 000 slogans were contributed In this contest some from as far east as Chicago.
