CHOI CONDITION IX NORTH MOR ROW COUNTY. (Continued from page one.) the railroad. 'e now has to haul a distance of twenty miles to Lexing ton. The fields in north and adjacent to Lexington are all turning golden yellow, headers are starting up there and an abundant yield is in sight. Some complaint has been heard of the hot winds doing damage to these crops but it appears to us that the damage is very slight and that Lex ington will market more than her usual amount of wheat from the north side this season. Crops there are now beyond all danger of further injury and the climatic conditions are ideal for their maturing. The rabbit crop in that north coun try can not be overlooked. The black tails are ou the increase at a very rapid rate and are going to be, if they are not already, a very ser ious crop pest. Messrs. Mahoney and Clark did what they could in the lim ited time at their disposal to exter minate them, Mr. Clark being enti tled to the pennant for the most scalps added to his belt. The trip was an enjoyable one because of the pleasure afforded in getting a view of the maturing wheat fields and their promise of abundance. School Meeting Day in District No. 51 School meeting day in District No. 5 1 was one of festivity as well as business. The patrons of this en thusiastic little neighborhood decided to kill several birds with one stone. The men talked the matter over anu concluded to put up that long ne glected fence. Their good wives ac companied them in the morning or came later with well filled baskets, boxes, pails and sacks. The men worked loyally on the fence during the forenoon. Their brows were wet with honest sweat. They earned their dinner which was spread out in the yard in the shade of the pines, and heartily enjoyed by all, men, women and children. After dinner the annual school meeting was held and business trans acted. Mr. Scott Dsborn was elected director and Mrs. Tyndal Robison re elected clerk. After the meeting the men resumed work on the fence and the women and children proceeded to have a good time. Music was fur nished by a phonograph. The school room was beautifully decorated with evergreens and ornaments of red and white, the school colors, and the school motto, "I Must Keep Pegging Away." As evening approached and the fence was completed, the neighbors began preparing to leave for their homes, tired but well pleased with the days occurrences. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Devore and family, Mr.' and Mrs. Scott Osborn and family, Mr. and Mrs. John McDonald and family, Mrs. Ed Musgrave and children,-Mrs. Harriet Stephens and children, Mr. arid Mrs. Tyndal Robison and nep hew, Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Severance and daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Guy Chapin, Mrs. Archie Barnard. Mr. Ed McDaniel and sons, Mr. and Mrs. Emil Johnson and son, ml Mrs. Mar garet Harrison, who tho 92 years of age believes in getting out and having a good social time.
