SCHOOL NOTES. P.y Supt. Notson. In DiBtrict No. 16 I found Mis Liliiau Troedson and ten pupils at w rk. 1 his school has a goi-d dic tionary and a fi e lot of library books. The windows are provided with win dow boards. The light is admitted from the left side. While the school is small, nearly all grades ate reura sented and it keens the teacher busy to take care of the classes. Ms Elva Troedson teaches in Dis trict No. 14. Ten pupils were pres ent. A bulk of earth has been thrown ud aiiaint the foondatiou, whhh keep? the wind from iitosviue onder the liuildirs. A new outbuilding has bren bnilt recentlf. In this school, ssariy all grades aie rentesentert. In Joint-District No. 52, Mrs. Fran es A Hard is the teaober. There is a good globe, and soma new maps aud in Internatinnal dictionary have been ordeied. The monthly examinations had just been held and the results nere very satisfactory. Miss Grace May teaches in District No. 5. There is a slobe and good Bet cfmaos. Window boards are provided for all the windows. A small nail of water is keot on the stove to provide aioisture for the atmosphere of the room. The water sunoly is kept in a c!o?el jar. The flag wbs displayed ever In building. The number of classes is so great that it is impossible to give to each the time k should have. However the pupils are doing good work. . ( la DiBtrict No. 8, Miss Ida Olson Is at thehelm. This school ha a good dictionary, 'lhere are good window boards, a closed tank for the water jncply, a jacket for the stove, and two flsBS, A can of water is kept on the stove. The foundation needs foine repairing and 1 understand that l-fc will be repaired soon so as to shut the wind out from endet the floor. On the evening of the 12h inst. I tad the pleasure of attending a meet ing of the parent-teacher association at Lexington. There was a goodly somber in attendance. The assocation is do1 eg a good work. An effort is heiiic made to secure the assistance ot fome able lecturers from the State University and elsewhere. This is to certify that we will pay $100 reward for information which will lead to the arrest and conviction of the party or parties who stole some meat from our Skinner Ranch on Skinner creek. 1 mo.
