She was so much wprse on Saturday night that Dr Cluck was summoned from lone to 8ttend her. Mrs. Peterson, the evangelist came down from Heppner Thursday morn ing and Bftar holding services that nisht in the Methodist chruch. went out in the country where she will hold religious services. The people are invited to the box supier and entertainment to be givon by the Ladies' Home Missionary Society at the Artisan hall on Nov. 25th. This same snr-iety will give bazaar in the near future but the exact date has not yet beau decided upon. Mr. and Mrs. Way. son and daughter are the latest newcomers to Lexing ton. iney nave bought the Lee place two miles from town but as arrange ments cannot be made for them to go on the place until spring they are now living in tte Breeding house near the Congregational church. We wish Mr. and Mrs. Wav success and welcome them to our vicinity. The play entitled "A Daughter of the Desert" given on Friday niisht was a decided success both socially and financially. The players all gave their parts well and a laige crowd wai in attendance. About 87.25 was netted fur which the Ladies' Improve' ment Society wishes to thank one and all. Final arrangements are being completed for the play tc be given at lone on next Saturday night. Who says Lexington hasn't made soma advances during the past year? We now have two wood yards, two coal yards, two drays, two blacksmith si. ops. and instead of one creamery getting all the cream there are now three distinct creameries getting the supply. There are also two nem houses in view, one. Gus McMillan's, is now under construction, and Earl Beach intends erecting a new house in the spring. Gene Gentry la having lot ot gravel hauled and will have extensive repairs made on his house just as soon as he can get the carpen ters at it. Mr. Evans la building new house on hia ranch near town. Lexington has now a millinery shop, something which she has not boasted of for a number of years and there is rumor that another barber shop will soon be opened to the public.
