PATTISON, Editor and Publisher Entered at the Heppner, Oregon, Postofflce as second-class Matter Terms of Subscription One Year $2.00 ' Six Months $1.00 Three Months $0.50 THOUGHT THEY WERE NOT WANTED Referring' to the letter from "A Farmer's Wife," and the editorial commenting- on the same subject which was printed in our last week's issue, the Herald has been in formed that at least some of the business men of Heppner .ssem to be under the impression that these meetings of farmers are intended exclusively for farmers and that the people of the towns are not wanted. The only interest the Herald has in the matter is to aid in promoting the most friendly and helpful relations be tween the farmers and stockmen and the people of the towns. Our interests are mutual and our business and so cial relations should be of the best. W hat is needed is a real spirit of co-operation among all of the people of Mor row county for only by and through such a spirit can any community attain its best development. If the business men and townspeople are welcome and their presence desired at the fanners' gatherings and the Herald is convinced that they are the leaders of the Farm Bureau and other representative farmers should .ose no time in making it known and extending a stand ing invitation to their town neighbors to join with them in trying to solve the many problems which must be solv ed before Morrow county can get back to the place where .she belongs.
