Father O.Rourko and his neice, Miss Peggy O.Rourke, have returned from a pleasant vacation trip to California. M. Kopple has returned from a business trip to San Francisco W. S. McKimmey. former res ident here, now living near Salem, is here for a few weeks looking after the harvesting of his crop. His wheat is turning out much better than he expec ted before the cutting commenced. A. C. Allison and son of Echo were registered at the Palace Sunday, Matt Hughes, of Lone Roak, was in Heppner Sunday. Norton Wionard is spending his vacation at Seaside Oregon. Bob Hart returned from Port lanb Sunday evening where he spent Buyers' week. ' He reports having had a splendid time in the metropolis. Miss Leta Humphrey returned from an extended visit to Port land and Hillsboro Sunday even ing. While in the Valley she al so attended the Christian church convention at Turner.
