P. railway, after reading our editorial of June 26th about the removal of the agent at Crabtree, st-nds us the following letter which gives the facta leading to the withdrawal of an agency at Extra Special Crabtree: "R«-renily my attention was di* reeled to an article appearing in your new of June 26th. entitled 'Our Neglect,' subject being with- Jiawal of our agent at Crabtree. "Just as a matter of information, would say that during the year 1916 we carried into Crabtree atation 3 49 tons of less than carload freight, while during the year 1923 we only hauled 147 tons. The outbound ship ments during 1916 amounted of 91 tons and in 192C 24 tons, or a grand total of in- and outbound met chan- disc of 440 tons in 1916 and 171 tons in 1923. Decrease of 269 tons.
