Our school election for s union high school was a failure, but we hope to do better next time. We pay a higher high school tax in our district (snd not have a high school) than other diatnete l>ay that have a high school. Why not have a high school at home and at the same time cut down taxes? As it ia at present we are compelled to help pay for all high school students in Linn county who do not live in high school di itricta. Why not educate our own «'hiklrcn in a union school at home and keep our tax money where it belongs and not have it taken out of our dis trict and divided up among the high M-hools of Linn county? The county • • irt levies a high school tax on our property, why not reap the beneflte? Geo. Tietjen is building a guod barn. Has it almost completed. Georgs has tw-vn buying sosne gotal cows lately.
