THE SCIO TRIBUNE Independent, fearless, free; Not tied to any party; W ill support best candidate for office regardless of party NO 37 VOL. XX111 SIX PAGES SCIO TO HAVE PAVED 4 ROAD TO JEFFERSON County Will Pave U»e Own lhe Plant and Roadway Ea»t From Green Bridge Scio will have a naved road to connect Scio with the Pacific high way this year At least such is the dictum of our county court. It is the purpose of the court to set up the paving plant at Green bridge and lay the paving to Munk- er«; then m*>v«- the plant to Selo from whence the paving will tie laid t>> Scio. The Marion county court ha* no tiffed th«- Linn county court that paving from Green bridge to Jeffer son will tie laid this year, probably using material from the Linn crusher it i* expected the paving plant will remain in Scio next winter so that work can lie prosecute«! late in the season and possibly aom® strt-ets in Scio may be paved. So with th«- building of our new power *y«tem and r<>ad paving, Scio is likely to be quite a busy place. Let u* conclude that a paved road to Albany is a pressing invitation to visit th«- county fair and all go. Song of Spring. Now quaes* again the genial duck. The friendly pig is squealing.
