"The long fight by the farmers of the Willamette valley for cheap ag ^cultural lime is over,” savs A B. Cordley of O. A. <’ , commenting uisin the action of the state emer gency board at its last meeting. "The emergency board has grant ed th«* lime tniard »5000 and that will make it possible for the plant at Gold Hill to be completed and it will la* in working order not later than Se| tember first. "It cannot be told at present the exact cost at which the lime can I m * sold but the board expects to place it on the market at first at $ I 50 per ton f o It at Gold Hill Exper ience may show that the price may be reduced later, or that it may I m * necenaary to increase it.” Under the law the board can sell the lime only in carload lots and for cash.
