Therefore, we expect our young men, who are rallying to ’’Old Glory" with commendable prompt ness at the present time, to main tain the high standard established bv the American soldiers and sailors of the past. And should it be their fortune to be sent to the European battle front, we feel sure that the American volunteer soldier will be found as efficient and brave, as the trained professional soldier of Eu rope. Our flag is sure to come l»ack from our first participation in Euro pean battle held* undimmed and unsullied.
