Dell Smith, son of D. S. Smith,
of Albany, arrived at the home of
his parents thia week, Dell was
badly burned last May in endeavor-
ing to protect a young lady whose
clothing became afire from a coaloil
explosion in a stove. The building

George G. Bingham For Judge
There is no question , whatever
but what Judge Bingham is one of
the shiest lawyers in the 3rd judicial
district. The fact that he has l>een
retained very often by big corpora-
lions is an evidence of this fact.
While he may lie condemned by
some for being a corporation lawyer,
it is hardly just to condemn a
man
because he has ability snd that
corporations have sense enough to
recognize thia fact.
Judge Bingham has secure*! his
standing as a lawyer by sheer hsr»i
work snd deep study. While The
Tribune believes that it ia wisdom
to make our judiciary as nonpartisan
as possible, it cannot but admit that
Judge Bingham would be an able
judge and that litigants would be
riven just treatment by him wheth­
er corporation or individual.

system making Linn countv one of
the banner counties of the state.
The school house has lievn made a
greater civic center by originating i
the community meeting, for the |
purpose of discussing questions of
practical value, also, the school and
volunteer road day in many com­
munities. The industrial work and
school fair as originated during mv
term has resulted in interesting
several hundred children who en­
duing special work at home without
cost to the general public.

citizenship, and in the proper physi­
cal. mental and moral development
of the youth of our county. Trust­
ing that I may be found worthy
