A good toad is ul ways to be desired, ami is a source of comfort and conveni oner to every traveler. G oh * roads attract jwipulation. as well as good schools and chur’hes they also improve the value of projierty. A larger load can be di awn by one horse over a good road than by two over a bad «me. Good roads encourage the great v«t exchange of products and commodities between one section ami another, ami are also of great value aa feeders to rail roads. The public have little apprecia tion of the value of a well con ducted local newspaper. Their offices of ben ¡licence to the com munity are so common that they are unnoted, but nevertheless no town or city can advance unle s its newspapers are in the for front of its advancement. They are the life of the community. They must lead in every effort to invite capital, enlarge industries, and enthuse people in the use of their advantages. Dr. Prill was called out Satur day to see the Pie Eater who is confined to his room with a severe attack of bronchitis, which is using the old man pretty rough. Cola Gaines of Crabtree called in Sunday to see his father S.W., finding him some better. Tne sick people of this j>art are on the mend, excepting Mrs. M. Smith who is suffering from a severe cold.
