have climbed since M arch 1933
from 42 per cent of tb e 1926-1930

farm product« except cotton, ex­
ports in F ebruary thia year were
only 30 per ren t, according to the
report. Exports of grain in Febru­
ary were down to less than 10 per
cent o f the 1926-1930 level, but
fru it exports held up to 83 per re n t
of the 1926 1930 level.
General crop conditions suggest
that the volume of ag ric u ltu ra l pro­
duction may Increase som ewhat
this year, so that any fu rth e r m a t­
e ria l advance In farm prices may
depend p rim a rily upon Increased
consumer purchasing power In this
country which is reflected by the
index of factory payrolls.
