Levi J. Deffenbacher, 74. resident

father of Mrs. Daisy Clover, died
at his home at 343 Fifth street.
Hprlngfleld. last Thursday follow­
ing a short Illness.
Funeral services were held Sat­
urday at 2 o'clock from the Veatch
liapel in Eugene. Rev. Milton H.
Weber, pastor ot the Central Pres­
byterian church officiated, and In­
terment was made In the Will­
oughby cemetery north of Coburg.
Mr. Deffenbacher was born at
Falrbault. Minnesota on November
20, 1860. He came across the plains
in a covered wagon when a child.
He was married to Clenna Toll In
1886 and leaves three children. Leo
Deffenbacher, Kugene; Roy Def-
fenbaclier, Chiloquin; and Mrs.
Daisy Clover, from this union.
Mrs. Deffenbacher died In 1894
and In 189« he married Elizabeth
Leabo. Two sons and one daugh­
ter were ulso txirn to this unlca.

ing at the court house this evening
at 7:30. Mayors of all towns, school
officials and others have been In­
vited to submit projects for their
communities.

Springfield
school board and city officials are
planning to attend this meeting at
which time they will hear state
leaders In the SERA work discuss
future plans. The school board is
planning to submit project work to
be undertaken as soon as school is
over in the spring.
