The Red Cross, although started
as a wartime acUvity has been
quickly transformed into an em­
ergency relief organisation during
times of pence, and during the lat­
ter years which have seen eo many
families and children In want this
organization has faced a tremend­
ous task and carried on to greatly
assist needy people In every com­
