McMORRAN & WASHBURNBTS NEW STORE
The finest store building In Oregon outside of
Portland was occupied this week when McMorran
and Washbume moved into their new structure
in Eugene. The building is evidence of the sub
stantial patronage Lane county has to offer. It is
also a monument to the builders that they may
well be proud of.
But more than that it is a splendid example of
what preseverenee may accomplish is business.

Lane county can be a recreational county, or It can be
an industrial county, or It can have both Industries and re
creational features, but in the la tte r case recreational
features fWVtuW have to be subordinated to Industry.
